Tom has been part of the software and engineering workforce in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. He has developed and maintained systems for everything from reliably pumping raw sewage to providing application, web server, and transport layer communications that support 24x7 business critical applications. His experience includes:

• Managing projects from the proposal stage through deployment at sites where he supervised contractors such as electricians, mechanics, and instrumentation technicians.
• Designing and developing real-time systems as part of an iterative development cycle or as part of a turnkey deployment.
• In what others described as risky, as early as 1994 he designed and successfully implemented a distributed system using an Intel Processor based Unix and TCP/IP on Compaq PCs while competitors were struggling to scale similar applications on NT 3.x and NetBEUI on the same capacity hardware.

In addition to his full time employment experience, Tom has worked many times as a contractor and previously partnered in small businesses. Tom graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics.

Jeremy has been solving technical problems professionally for over 10 years. He has been held titles as diverse as software developer, integration analyst, and consultant. Open Source software and Linux have been a part of Jeremy's repertoire since 1995. His experience includes:

• Designing, developing and migrating software to a clustered Linux environment for one of the largest health systems in the world.
• Providing consulting, quality assurance, mentoring, and software architecture services to an independent software vendor.
• Managing, implementing, and supporting systems integration efforts for a children's hospital while employed by a large international software and services provider.

In addition to his full time employment experience, Jeremy has done web development and systems consulting work as a contractor for lawyers, physicians, other small businesses and home users. Jeremy graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in information science and minors in computer science and business.
